Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders: Special Seminar on Competitive Exams Held at Omzoor

A highly informative seminar on tackling competitive examinations was organized for the students of Holy Family Church, Omzoor, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Holy Family Sabha Bhavan. Driven by the powerful objective, “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today,” the event aimed to equip young minds with the knowledge and confidence to pursue promising careers.

​The seminar commenced immediately after the morning Sunday Mass. Hancil Rodrigues dynamically anchored the event as the Master of Ceremonies, while Priya Serrao warmly welcomed the gathering, setting an encouraging tone for the morning.

​The formal inauguration was marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp. Rev. Fr William Menezes (Parish Priest), Mr. Arthur D’Souza (Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council), Mrs. Daffny Lewis (Secretary), Mr. Elroy Saldanha (21 Commissions Coordinator), and the esteemed Resource Person of the day, Mrs. Mural Henrita Cutinha, jointly lit the lamp to declare the seminar open.
​In his address, Rev. Fr William Menezes strongly encouraged the students to proactively prepare for and attempt competitive examinations. He emphasized the immense value of securing government jobs and urged the youth to aim high, serving the community and nation through public service.

​During the core session, the Resource Person, Mrs. Mural Henrita Cutinha, delivered an insightful and comprehensive talk. She shed light on the wide array of central and state government exams conducted annually, guiding students on how to stay informed about notifications and application processes. She further detailed effective preparation strategies, identifying reliable source materials and reference books. Crucially, Mrs. Cutinha also shared valuable information regarding various government scholarships available to ease the financial aspects of exam preparation.

​To keep the energy high and test the students’ alertness, an interactive quiz was conducted at the end of the seminar. Enthusiastic participants were recognized and rewarded with appreciation gifts. Mr. Joyson Miranda proposed the vote of thanks and The seminar concluded on a high note, leaving the students inspired, well-informed, and ready to face future challenges.
