Gratitude and Blessings: Omzoor Parishioners Gather for a Heartfelt Send-Off to Fr Victor D’Souza.

​The parishioners of Holy Family Church, Omzoor, recently gathered in large numbers to bid an emotional and grace-filled farewell to Fr Victor D’Souza, who has been transferred to Urwa Church for his new pastoral mission. The solemn ceremony commenced inside the church with an introductory address by the Parish Priest, Fr William Menezes, who warmly highlighted Fr Victor’s impactful ministry and unwavering dedication to the community over the past year. As a traditional token of deep love, respect, and gratitude, Fr William honored Fr Victor with a vibrant garland of flowers. Following this gesture, Fr Victor D’Souza led the congregation in a touching prayer of thanksgiving, expressing his profound gratitude to the Almighty for the blessings of the past year and thanking the parishioners for their immense cooperation and love. The atmosphere then turned personal as emotional parishioners lined up to offer their individual well-wishes and blessings. In a beautiful display of solidarity and community spirit, the Omzoor church community accompanied Fr Victor in a convoy to Urwa Church, escorting him directly to his new station where he was warmly received for his next chapter of service.
