The feast of St Sebastian was devoutly celebrated at Holy Family Church Omzoor on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The celebration brought together a large number of parishioners who gathered with faith and devotion to honor the saint, who is also regarded by many faithful as a protector and patron associated with farming and agriculture.

The Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated with Rev. Fr. Victor D’Souza, Residential Priest, as the main celebrant. During his sermon, the Priest emphasized the importance of the sight and attitude of a person. He reminded the faithful that while people often judge by outward appearances, God looks at the heart of a person. He encouraged everyone to keep their hearts pure and sincere, as God sees and understands the true intentions within us.

At the end of the Holy Mass, the Novena of St Sebastian was conducted by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr William Menezes prayerfully. Following the novena, a devotional procession was taken out by the faithful. The statue of St Sebastian was carried in procession, and the parishioners participated in a reverent and prayerful manner, expressing their deep faith and devotion.

The celebration concluded with a spirit of unity and gratitude, strengthening the faith of the parish community and honouring the life and witness of St Sebastian.
