The Catechism classes for the academic year 2024-25 were inaugurated on Sunday, 2nd June, 2024 during the Mass at 9:15 am.  The Parish Priest, Rev.Fr Alwyn D'cunha, led the ceremony. The inaugural ceremony began with the entrance procession.
Two children from each class representing all the other children walked in a procession to the altar along with few parents and Catechism teachers. One child held up the banner saying, "Lord, teach us to pray" symbolising the eagerness of all the children to learn from the Catechism classes. The parent representatives then came forward teaching the children to fold their hands and blessing them. Rev. Fr Alwyn gave Bibles to the children in front of the altar, followed by the teachers who distributed the class books and rosary to each of them.  The priest along with the teachers came forward and taught a prayer to all the children in the church.  Followed by the Eucharist celebration.
Under the direction of the parish priest and Sr Theresa Madtha, the catechism coordinator along with the catechism teachers, the ceremony commenced in a meaningful way.
